Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been nominated to head the Dept. of Health and Human Services nationally. He faces Senate confirmation soon.
From Louisiana Families for Vaccines:
Call to Action Ahead of Senate Confirmation Hearings
Public health is in jeopardy including our crucial polio eradication efforts thanks to RFK Jr's lawyer petitioning FDA to revoke the polio vaccine. This puts our most vulnerable at risk for preventable suffering, and would disproportionately impact communities of color echoing Jim Crow era medicine.
We wanted to make sure to highlight our current efforts and ask you to support them. Our main focus currently is letting folks know that RFK Jr. is dangerous and his confirmation to lead HHS could result in the resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases.
See the actions below that you can take right now!

Louisiana forbids public health workers from
promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots
A group of high-level managers at the Louisiana Department of Health walked into a Nov. 14 meeting in Baton Rouge expecting to talk about outreach and community events.
Instead, they were told by an assistant secretary in the department and another official that department leadership had a new policy: Advertising or otherwise promoting the COVID, influenza or mpox vaccines, an established practice there — and at most other public health entities in the U.S. — must stop. More on this from Rosie Westwood at NPR here.
